'Seeds for the Future', Huawei wants to train 30000 engineers in Africa

Manufacturers of Chinese smartphones take the top sales places of handsets on the continent. Transsion, ZTE or even Huawei sell tens of millions of devices, grabbing the market yesterday vested to giants Nokia and Samsung.

Huawei is the most present on the continent in terms of employment and training. The company has several thousand employees in Africa, 70% of which are local. By understanding the value of relying on local resources, it has developed a real training policy. With the ambition of training 30,000 engineers in the coming years. 



Within "Seeds for future" framework, an immersive training initiative in its Chinese offices and factories. Students from all over the continent benefit from courses that will enable them to become ICT specialists in their countries.  

The company has developed many partnerships with schools and universities across the continent. Kenya, Benin, Mauritius, Morocco, Cameroon and many other countries are involved. Huawei helps them to acquire the equipment they need.  



The company has an ambition for Africa and seems determined to give the necessary means to make it happen.
